The Training Room is
comparable to the finest athletic training facilities in professional
and collegiate sports. If your goal is to return to your
sport or occupation in the shortest amount of time and in the
best possible condition, our approach will meet your needs. All
patients are treated in the same manner that an elite athlete
would be treated. Pain reduction is always the first goal,
and can be accomplished with various modalities such as: muscle
stimulation, ultrasound, laser therapy, massage, ice, heat and
the advice of over the counter medication. Restoration of normal
joint motion is the secondary goal. Restoring joint motion can
be accomplished by implementing exercises that actively or passively
allow for pain free joint motion. Joint mobilization can also
be utilized if indicated. Two licensed chiropractors trained
in sports medicine are on staff. The patient is also instructed
in proper movements. Proper education will ensure that the patient
moves in a manner that is efficient and will not lead to further
injury. Once pain free and efficient motion has been accomplished
the patient is ready to begin the last phase of treatment, strengthening
and stabilization. The goal of
this phase is to restore the injury
to optimal strength and have the supporting structures stable
thus providing for assured proper function and low risk for injury.

The majority of all orthopedic/musculoskeletal
injuries will not require surgical intervention. If you have
a simple sprain or diagnosed herniated disc in your spine the
Enhanced Rehabilitation aspect of The Training Room is able to
handle your injuries. If surgery is in your future then prehab
(rehabilitation prior to surgery) or rehabilitation following
surgery will be conducted in the manner described above. |
